COE front hood emblems, are nothing like the conventional truck hood emblems. The COE front hood emblems are always cast metal, & conform to the shape of the front of the COE Hood. As for the side emblems, they were the same on conventional cab trucks, & Cabover Engine trucks. 1947, & '48 model trucks that had the 235ci. engine (some 1 1/2 ton, & all 2 ton)had "Loadmaster" emblems, & the smaller 1/2 ton thru 1 ton, plus the 1 1/2 ton trucks that came standard with the 216 engine had "Thriftmaster" emblems. As for the smaller series designation numbers, I've seen some '49-'52 model trucks that did have the numbers, & I've seen some that didn't. All '53, & '54 model trucks that had the larger series designation numbers, but no "Chevrolet" script, had the series emblems only.
