All of the parking brake levers,that I've seen,have that adjustment cap. The cap should have criss-cross hash-marks,for a better grip. If not, you may be able to access the upper shoe adjustment by removing the trans. access cover. Depends on length of your tail-shaft. You may want to look under your truck first,to see if you can access it from above. Hope this helps.
