For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 222 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 222 | Hi! I need some help with my 1951, 3600, steering column. I took is out and sanded it and cleaned it up as part of installing power steering. I cut off the column above the steering box knowing I would have to cut it to the correct length when I put it all back together. I have now finished the power steering box and pump installation and am putting the steering column back in. I am not sure how far the steering column is suppose to stick out from the dash and I have no way to determine it. Could someone measure the distance from the dash to the bottom of the steering wheel for me so I know how far to extend the tube into the cab? I would really appreciate it. Thanks! | | |
