what do you need to know spot? be like putting any automatic in an old truck, need to modify the cross members to suit, mate an open driveshaft, which would mean a different rear for your early trucks, and rig an aftermarket shifter [Lokars are great] - depending on the engine you're using you might need an adapter - they work fine in any vintage, especially with the OD for the road
