To be clear JIM: I am NOT talking about a Hammer drill or a setting for hammer. I used the word "Hammer" in parentheses because I am describing the noise or action of a NORMAL drill driver. The noise or action it makes when the adjustable clutch is set too low. It does not have enough torque to turn the fastener so it just "hammers". I use this to my advantage on stubborn fasteners to vibrate and knock them loose. That is what I was describing.
