#95870 06/08/2006 8:29 PM | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 100 Member | | Member Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 100 | The shop manual for my 49 GMC 1/2T shows a special GM tool for pulling the upper steering column bearing that connects to the horn wire. The other end of the horn wire screws to the outside of the column. Does anybody sell or rent the special puller tool? Or is there another way to pull the bearing? Then what's a good way to get that wire back inside where it belongs?
