tail light means to me you are checking the brakes lights with the lights turned on... and when you hit the brakes you then lose the brake light on the passenger side..but the tail light is still working..or am I confused..
either way like cletis says, could be a short,, mine would drive me crazy back yrs ago, I just cleaned the contacts good, made sure the bulbs were working and finally got it all in senc..
Thanks everyone for the suggestion of checking the grounds. I thought about that after I posted. Will have to find a window of time to get it checked out.
Fred, Tail-light= light that comes on (on back side of vehicle) when head/parking lights are on. Brake light, in this case is a second element being lit up when the brake pedal is depressed. Working correctly, the tail lights and brake lights should work together when the lights are on, and the brake pedal is depressed.
In my situation, the tail lights work fine, until I press on the brake pedal. Then the light on the passenger side (brake and tail light) doesn't work at all.
