I recently did a rescue job on a '39 truck ,, the owner was driving to Auckland ( 1000km away) he got 180km in the middle of the night and the engine stopped !! , sounded like running out of fuel ,, only the valves weren't going up and down !
Yep , no teeth on the fibre cam gear ,, this engine had had big $$$ spent on it too ..
