Okay - so I finally did it -- I had ordered a new Miller Dynasty 200 DX, then all of a sudden on the 4th of July shows up on local Craigslist a 200DX, used, for half the price of new, with all the equipment including foot pedal, torch, lots of filler rod, bottle of argon, tools and sticks. It's a 2008 model used by a hobbyist, but hasn't been used for more than two years. It looks like new, so I bought it. Went to plug it in and noticed the green ground wire hanging out - cut away from the cable. Single phase, 3 prong 220 plug. Opened the plug, and red and white are wired to the hots, black to the ground. Does that seem right?? Surprised me me so I stopped. Maybe electrical forum question? PO passed on so can't ask him why. Thanks for any help ---
