I'll bet it's a bad ground for the left front light housing.If the hood wasn't grounding both directions would be feeding back.It's still good to run a ground wore to the hood though. I used an old battery cable for mine,it was just the right length and already had the lugs on it. I just pulled one mounting bolt from the top of the hinge and one from the bottom,wire-brushed the surfaces and the facing and threads of the bolts off really good,and bolted it up.
The same basic idea applies for any grounding problem.
