If you're not dependent on the truck for your daily driver, I'd also recommend replacing the wiring harness. I cannot tell you how many cold mornings I've sat in the dark with a flashlight squeezed between my neck and shoulder while splicing some darn thing. I've gotten to the point where I just tear out the old stuff and start over too.
