Hy red49, the 230 is one of a series of engines that came into use in 1963, the smallest was a 194 the largest was a 250, there was also a truck only variant a tall block engine 292 cu. in.. These engines can be swapped into place, but it is definately not a drop in swap. You will have to fabricate mounts, and purchase an adapter to use your original transmission. If you're not comfortable with this type of fabrication, then I would look for a 235 or 261 which can be configured to be a drop in swap, hope that helps.
