Hy pfarber, it would be easier to answer your quetion if you told us what head, year and engine you were asking about. If you were able to press the guide out of the head, then you should be able to purchase a replacement guide and install and ream it to size. Egge may be one source for a new guide, it sounds like someone installed bronze inserts in all your other guides, hope that helps.
