Is it boiling over or just expanding. I second it, leave the thermostat in, (but make sure it is a good one) If it is below boiling, you should be able to get away with a zero pressure cap. I drove my truck around for about a year with basically no cap at all, I had one that kind of fit, but it mostly just kept the water from splashing out, and I was using a 195 degree thermostat. What is the temperature anyway?
