And it wouldn't hurt to be sure the bed is solidly grounded to the frame. I seriously wire brushed a spot on the frame and on the bed of my truck and put a battery ground strap there,then sprayed it with battery terminal protector.
A good ground on your taillight pots won't help if the bed isn't grounded. Like Bill has said,most taillight,turn signal and stoplight problems can be traced to a bad ground somewhere.
