Not sure if this is where I should post this or not, but here goes...
The '63 is coming into the garage in the next month or so to get a new (to me anyway) engine and probably a transmission rebuild. I got to thinking about something else while I was planning the shop time. Could I replace the original heater controls with something up to date (preferrably electric)? It doesn't have A/C, and I don't really care, but the heater/defroster doesn't put out very much and the controls can be difficult to move. Has anyone done this already? If so, did you end up with something that you liked or was it an abortion you wish you'd thought twice about?
