Ok guys here is my question. Here in Connecticut on the registration form it asks for the gvw and the light weight. My truck is a 49 Chevy 6100 the data plate says 16,000 gvw. So I would assume since it's a 2 ton truck the unloaded weight "light weight" would be 12,000. I'm pretty sure it probably only weights in about 5,000. This my first big truck. does anyone have any insight on this subject?
