That linkage goes up to the shift lever, it's connected to the overdrive not to the tranny. I guess I shouldn't call it an OD according to what I've read it's more of a gear splitter. I was young when my Gramps was alive and driving that truck so my memories are a bit vague but I remember that truck haulin butt and folks getting mad that the truck was leaving them behind in the steep uphill mountain grades.
The truck was my Grandfathers camping truck, kept it fully stocked with gear and a cab over camper, if he wanted to split for a few days all he had to do was stop at a store and snag food.
I've still got a bit of cleaning to do to see if there are any other markings on the Splitter, I'll try and post up what I find out.
