Good suggestion Fred. The SS vibrators do set you back about
forty bucks with the shipping.
Here are a few pictures of the way I've restored the mechanical
vibrators in the past:

Sencore VB-2. Besides cleaning the contacts, they both have to have
the correct air gap and the correct spark gap and both have to
be in balance.
