If I assume your asking about a 1950 Chevy 3100, then yes right and left front brake backing plates are the same. In my parts book it says 1950 was the last year for that particular part, so that must be the last year for "Huck" brakes. I would suggest you take a backing plate with you for a sample, or a good picture to compare, hope that helps.
