Are both the left and right side the same? I need to replace the drivers side and want to be sure they are universal before i drive and hour to get one. they appear to be the same from what i can see but they are on the truck still so i cant do a 100% comparison. thanks steve

Hy smoloney, please remember to tell us the year/make/size of truck you're asking questions about. If I assume your asking about a 1950 Chevy 3100, then yes right and left front brake backing plates are the same. In my parts book it says 1950 was the last year for that particular part, so that must be the last year for "Huck" brakes. I would suggest you take a backing plate with you for a sample, or a good picture to compare, hope that helps.
