#92821 08/29/2005 4:29 AM | Joined: Jun 2002 Posts: 81 Member | | Member Joined: Jun 2002 Posts: 81 | I'm having a problem with the foot pedal starter switch on my '54 (I mean the actual contactor mounted on the starter itself) . It gets stuck ie: keeps running the starter until I yank the battery cable. I burned up one switch and just put a new one on and had it stick again, but this time I was quicker yanking the cable and had no damage. I put the cable back on and it started up fine. I also took the starter apart and checked everything for shorts and she was good. Any ideas? | | |
