it's a 'black box' that converts the mechanical spin to the electrical signal the speedo needs, not positive for your application, but likely it would install where the speedo cable connects and the spin would generate an electrical signal on a wire to the speedo - might mount under the dash with the speedo cable connected to it, then wires to the speedo - easy to ask
