| | | | Joined: Aug 2012 Posts: 50 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2012 Posts: 50 | I replaced the 216 in my 48 3/4 ton with a chevy 250 cu in engine. THe original 216 (which had a bent rod) was 85 hp and the earlier 250 (mine is a 1967) puts out 155hp which is a nice upgrade but does not over power the truck using the stock tranny and rear end. The 250 bolted up to the oringinal 4 spd. | | |
