I use one gauge cables because they will carry a bigger volume of current with less resistance (electrical friction) Also running the negative battery cable from the battery directly down to a starter mounting bolt makes a huge difference. By doing that you are creating a direct path between the battery and the starter. Clean terminals and connnections and a good ground make a big difference also....Thanks Randy
