The starter will turn engine slowly ,then speed up to regular cranking and truck starts. I have restarted it 6 times or moore thinking maybe new motor tight , now it seams like starter trouble . I had the kickdown switch off to clean it -two shields (like welding helment glass only thin) fell out I put them in one on each side is this right? What would make a starter drag then free up and start truck? Motor sounds good no raps only lifter noise left them loose so not to burn valves. thanks bill :confused:
