Mine is a stock engine with just different carbs. It runs just the same with one as it does with two or even three carbs. I am back to one now and working on a dual W-1 set up for the summer. I wish my firewall wasn't cut as much as is, it would be a lot easier to get a/c in there. Some one should measure from fan tip to flywheel on both just to see how they measure up.
The front motor mounts are simple to make or purchase, any small block mounts should work with out to much adapting. I helped Larry58 get his suburban running with a late model 250 in it. It has the intake cast with the head, '78 or so, and it really runs strong. I was really impressed with the torque!
