A friend of mine went out to check an engine for me, which is for sale..
The block casting # is: 3851659 (I think it's a 292)
What do you get out of this?
Then it has some other numbers that I can't find out what means:
CON 2 and J 2 5
Does these numbers help identify the age and type of engine?
On the engine head: 4888 F 28
If this is a 292 how do I find out the age and if it's a long or a short model?
Have tried to use the list of casting numbers, but it does'nt help me a lot - Hope for a little help here
