I'm building a '57 235 block bored .080 over, with a '59 848 cylinder head, 261 grind cam, offy two pot manifold with the carter/weber 2 bbls and fenton headers. My original engine (I have a '62 C10 Stepside) has the remote oil filter that was originally mounted to the intake manifold...I believe this is called a bypass filter system. Is there anyone that offers a spin-on filter adapter? If not, can someone please educate me on how the current filter system works, what oil pressure is desireable/expected from the newly rebuilt engine and where I might be able to mount the filter since it's not going to fit on the Offy manifold. Your input is much appreciated.
