Thanks for the compliment. The engine is a 54' 235. I had needed to repaint the valve cover to match the rest of the engine. I also had a little bit paint paint(rattle can) left over from painting the fan, oit bath filter, block breather, and water pump wheel so I thought that I would paint the lettering on the valve cover. I had prep the valve cover to paint and then I painted the letters with metallic black. Once that was dried, I taped off the letters and finished the cover with the same blue that engine has.

The small things bring a smile to my face and the bigger jobs bring relief to my mind.

I have an oil bath like yours that I got off of a '59 era Apache. My friend plans to put it on his '53 Chevy.
