I ran a head just like that one. Mine made a whistling noise from the exhaust ports due to the smog tube holes. I had standard brass plugs in them. One of the racing manuals said to install long brass plugs and cut the extra off in the port so you fill as much of the hole as you can. I just changed heads and the noise went away. Joe
