A fella on one of my mail lists claims a gen will put out around 20 volts and only thing changing it to 6 or 12 volts is the regulator. That sounds dumb to me, any comments or ideas on that? He says when going 12 volt, to just put in a reg for 12 and you're all set! Can't be that easy! I'm going to change my 50 to 12 later, probly use alt, but may use orig gen if above info is correct. Doesn't seem right to me. :rolleyes:
