I am going to go with the Old Air Products interior unit where the vents are hidden behind the speaker grill. I will then cobble together my own underhood hardware from spare BMW parts I have lying around. I.e. compressor, condenser, condenser fan, etc. Should be fun with the hardest part finding a suitable pulley for the compressor. I will get the hoses custom fabricated (crimped fittings) locally.
