| | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | sounds like it was the ground replacement that was the problem - was the battery actually low when you put it on the charger? only thing that might have fried with the ignition left on is the coil or points, that wouldn't affect the lights or horn
didn't get the new ground tight enough on either end? didn't clean where it connects to the firewall? try a jumper cable from the battery neg direct to a starter mount bolt
