For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 163 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 163 | I have a built 348/3x2 that needs a home, I continue to think about trying to fit it in my 46 COE. The problem I keep coming back to is the vacuum or lack of. I need vacuum to run my hydro boost, wipers, dist. The 3x2 intake doesn't have a vacuum port, there is just one port off the center carb base that would go to my distributor. I could convert to electric wipers so that would leave me with the hydroboost. I guess I could tap one into the intake runner but not sure if that would work. In addition the cam is a 425hp 409 cam spec with 108 deg lube seperation so my engine vacuum will be minimal. Has anyone ever ran a booster solely off a vacuum pump? | | |
