The chilton manual for those years has a supplement saying that there are TBI tucks but they did not update the wiring charts. Put an 86 V6 TBI in an 85 4cyl TBI truck. Took entire harness to engine and computer with the engine but used fuse box and harness from the cab. Now it blows the ECM1 fuse when switched on. Book said all the same but gives no info on TBI wiring for V6 It was obviously different under hood. pin out must be different but can't figure it out without the schematic   .
There is no mechanical problem so difficult that it can not be overcome by brute force and ignorance.
