I would have to agree that the danger with these old AD radios is small. I got a nip off mine a few weeks ago and it made me pay attention! The dangerous ones are the old console radios, with much higher B+ supplies and large capacitors.
Talk radio: I think that it is a modern curse of the AM band!!
