I'll photograph mine tomorrow morn.

I thought the edge of the lip pressed into the rubber, too. I was running out of interior paint when I painted the reproduction retainers that I bought from the Truck Shop, so I lightly sprayed what I thought was the back side and sprayed a beautiful coat on the "good" side. Well, the good side ended up being the back side. It looks OK, but I see it every time I look down.

Sheet 20 is only a partial view of the door. See the squiggly line on the left side of the door and the curved line on the left side of the retainer. The line on the retainer is directly under the hinge side of the inspection plate.
