My speedometer never worked very accurately, it jumps up and down from 20-30-40mph while driving.
Recently while working on the dash (cutting a hole for cd player) the needle in my gauge fell out and is now sitting at the bottom of the gauge behind the glass.

My question for you guys is this, would you simply take out the gauge and put the needle back in place and proceed with a jumpy needle. Or would you replace the gauge completely to fix the jumpy needle OR is it a problem with the cable to the gauge that might be causing the problem?

any suggestion on how to fix this....
