You can use most bell houseings for 55-72 v-8 & 63-72 six cyl. The exceptions are the 68 up 4 speeds & some 3 speeds had a larger center hole.

Yes. The early 292 had the same size flywheel mounting holes as the v-8 but the later ones had 1/2 in holes. Make sure the flywheel has the correct bolt size.
