Hey everyone, I have a problem.
I switched over to 12 volts using the EZ-wire harness a while back. I have everything working the way I like but I notice that when I have my headlights on the amp meter in the dash reads on the negative side.
I have a 94 amp alternator (12SI) from an '84 camaro (new). Shouldn’t this be strong enough? Is there a possibility I have some wires crossed somewhere that might cause this?
I have a 10 watt resistor that I understand should be in the alternator circuit somewhere, but I don’t know where, would this cause the problem?
I have also noticed that the alternator gets very hot to the touch after it has been running for a while, could this indicate a problem?
I really need some help with this one guys, I can’t figure it out.
