don't turn left.............might check and make sure your oil is full............could just be the gauge...... what did it show before you installed the new gauge...not sure why the temp would come up while stop at a red light... but if it comes down quick it probably is ok.. might idle it in the drive and see how hot it gets... should take awhile or something is wrong
