Tony- Yes it cleared the crossmember (I assume you mean transmission crossmember); I had to grind on the rear engine/bellhousing crossmember and the lower right front of the trans to get it to mate to the bellhousing. Mine had the Chevy bolt pattern. I don't think that was how it was supposed to be but I think somebody massaged the rear engine crossmember with a crowbar when they put the 235 in it
I looked last night and my stock shifter is in your "modified" location, so there must be variations out there-- anybody buying one--look where the shifter is because if it's not where Tony's modified one is, it may not fit in your vehicle.
