Fairly elegant solution. That tranny appears to me to be a little larger on top as well diminishing the space between the cab floor plate and the top of the tranny. Ive got a hurst 3 speed floor shifter in my 55.1--quite similar--I'm right up against the base of the bench seat but hope to get some more space by removing the gas tank and moving the seat back. I would like to hear how that tranny performs when you get it all installed.
