I remember a snap on man showing me a Snapon 12 point and another brand 6 point demonstration. He used a hex shaft made of plastic. He then used the Snap on 12 vs. the 6 point (which came out of my toolbox). When he worked the wrenches in oposit directions at the same time, the 6 point slipped and rounded the hex shaft. The rounded edges of the snap on 12, will hold more than a regular 6 point.
