You didn't say if it was to carry in the truck or to be used in your shop and on what surface.

Chipmunk has a good point about using it on other vehicles.

I have a 3 ton steel floorjack and it's very heavy. I'd get an aluminum jack for general purpose in the shop next time. I like scissor jacks for light duty use to carry with me but bottle jacks are good if you don't mind crawling under the truck. So how you use it is key to figuring out what is best.
