Seeing the question about hinges got me to thinking,maybe I could rebuild mine on my '54 GMC. I really only need to do the left side-the right side works just like new.
Has anyone here had any experience,good or bad,in replacing hinge pins and hold-open springs? What tricks will make it easier to do? I already figured out using my engine hoist to hold the door up while removing and replacing hinges. (Always let the machine do the work when possible.)
