I think there was at least one other difference in the standard equipment 1948 and earlier tool set, compared to the later, accessory tool set: the spark plug socket/wrench was different.
And, it looks like the adjustable wrench was provided into 1947 in the 1946 trucks, but it was not provided in the 1947 tool kit (maybe it was provided until late 1947, when the older tool kits ran out)?
The adjustable wrench is specifically mentioned in the 1946 Truck Data Book (page 303 TRUCK TOOLS) and in the
1946 Technical Specifications manual (page 94).
The adjustable wrench is not specified in the TRUCK TOOLS table in the 1947 Truck Data Book (page 245) and it is not listed in with the tools in the 1947 Truck Technical Specifications manual (page 103).
The adjustable wrench is not mentioned in the
1948 Technical Specifications manual (page 103). I do not have a 1948 Truck Data Book.
