Jim Carter's tool sheets are my reference for the adjustable to 1948? Agreed on the data book I have both 47/48 versions and they state the same as you describe (enigma). On the sockets there are three versions available, one in 5/8" for AC #104 and 11/16" for AC #106 these are for 1941-1948. This socket is heavy with a bar through it that does not remove. It is stamped with an arrow or a star. The next version as pictured is part #3692188 with no bar, it is much lighter and ususally stamped with the VLchek shield. This is for 1949-54 applications.
