I have a 68 Chevy 3/4 ton truck with a 4 speed manual (granny gear) that I am thinking about converting into a 4x4. The truck isn't in beautiful shape body wise and the current front suspension needs a lot of work to make it road worthy again, so I figure... why not. In this endever I have some questions... I can find a front axle easily and can mount that with the steering with no problem.. The problem is the transfer case. I don't know what to get... If I go to the salvage yard and find a t-case that was mounted to a 350T or 400T, will it bolt up to my 4 speed manual if I take the tail cone off?? I need some expertise in this area and would appreciate any help I could get.. Thanks!!!
